It’s no secret… I love ginger!
If you listen to our podcast, then you know my favorite go-to cocktail is anything with ginger beer. It’s my favorite mixer, but the Ginger Martini is a little different than our usual Moscow Mule. Instead of using ginger beer I use a homemade ginger vodka. The Ginger Martini is a refreshing spin on the flavored vodka martini, featuring ginger vodka, lemon juice and honey simple syrup.
This cocktail is spicy and tangy with just the right amount of sweetness. It has the bold flavor of ginger and is a unique way to spice up your sexy evening festivities.

- Lemon twist or candied ginger for garnish
How to Make Ginger Infused Vodka
It’s simple, but it does require a little planning. Ginger is a tough root, so it’s hard to extract its bold flavor. Trying to infuse vodka with the raw root just doesn’t create a strong enough flavor. Candied ginger works much better. Here’s what you need to make the ginger infused vodka:
- 4oz package of candied ginger
- 750ml of Tito’s Vodka (or your favorite vodka)
- Large Mason Jar
In a colander, rinse the candied ginger until all the sugar has been removed. Put the ginger in a mason jar and top with the vodka. Put on the lid and store at room temperature for at least a week. The longer you let the concoction sit the stronger the ginger flavor.
